Top 3 Favorite parks: Tigard-P town

Favorite 5 dudes to ride with: Boogdawg
Dr. Stice

Martin
Dalyn
I heard you were with Dr. Stice when he reconstructed
his face on the bethel spine, what was that all about?

Seizure-like activity, snorring resperations, retro- grade amnesia, lacerated lip, dental trauma, BIG pool of blood after the ambulance took him. Rest of the session sucked because we had to dodge the pool of blood in the bowl!! But all in all, his face looks better now *

Words of wisdom: The years will go fast! - take care of yourself.

Favorite BMX vid: RAD- when if first came out(damn he's old.) *

Whats your ideal day of riding? 70 deg' temp, clear skies, huge bike park with single parent cougars, looking for their new stud.

JUST A REMINDER!!!

THIS IS GUNNA GET LOOSE!!! GET UP THER GUY'S AND REPRESENT YOU SCENE!!

COME RIDE WITH THE HOMIES!!

This has been going on every year since the Forest Grove Park was completed, but this is the 4th Annual Version of the Coming Home Jam that I have had a flier for it. Come out and have fun.

There are 5 Classic Events:

1. Rail Jam: Best trick on the rail, real straight forward.

2. Skid Contest: Pedal hard, Pedal fast, lock that tire up and let er rip!

3. Best Trick on/over the Large Volcano: Simple as that. Do it, do it.

4. Long Jump Contest: Go fast and launch out the huge wedge!

5. Best Trick to Flat: Got a sick trick? Let’s see you do it to flat!

Earthquake!

We also experienced that 7.2 quake while at Odyssey tearing down our bikes for the return flight home. My first quake and it was a pretty good one even over 200 miles away from the epicenter. Felt like airplane turbulence while standing on the ground. Hit up this link
to see a funny iphone vid of Shad making fun of Jamie's reaction.

Make sure to head over to Goods to check Shads photos from the trip.

Old School Weekend

Here are a couple of videos that do a great job of summing up this weekend. For me this was a surreal experience, like having my bmx life flash before my eyes. Not in a near death sort of way but in a reliving so many experiences and emotions that bmx has brought me over my life. Being around and riding with so many people I have always looked up to and respected and reminiscing with friends old and new. It brought back so many memories and created a bunch of new ones. Jamie Mcparland probably summed it up best when he said, "What other sport do you travel miles away from home and find a place to stay with other participants? What other sport do you actually cheer for your competitors and are stoked when they pull something?" My memory is shady so that's probably not an exact quote but close enough to get his point.

Woodward is an amazing place. I was able to push myself beyond my comfort level a few times and increase my confidence level on my bike in just a couple days. Shad got me to roll in on the vert ramp. Standing on the top of a 13 Ft ramp is intimidating to say the least. Sacked up and rolled in, and even got tires above coping on a few airs. Psyched. Played in the foam pit a little bit. It's kind of a pain in the ass getting out of that thing and there was always a line up. I tried a couple flips but got scared upside down and didn't get around. Oh well, next time. I did however do a couple threes into the foam pit to get my nosedive on and carried that over to the resi box. Biggest threes I've done in a long time, good rotation and didn't get loopy. Good lesson on how much riding is really all mental. All and all a great time even though by the end of the weekend I was so sore I could hardly move. Feeling like an old man after that jam. Many thanks to Ryan, Rachel, and Francis for letting us stay at their house. And thanks to Ben Ward and Odyssey for the van and driving us around. Oh and another HUGE thanks to Jared Sourney for GIVING me a brand new copy of the Freestylin' book that I was able to get autographed by some of my all time favorites like these three:

Mat Hoffman, Dave Nourie, Ron Wilkerson

My favorite thing at Woodward. The Hanger bowl. So fun!

Alvin Mullins 8'

Alvin Mullins 8', originally uploaded by Frank NW.

Second Session of the day. Alvin Mullins let us ride his ramp. Nice 8' with just a little vert. Shad schooled us. I did ok for a vert ramp. Couple feet out. Dizzy fast. That next tranny came quick. Woodward tomorrow!

Fudger hooking up sessions at all the private parks. Thanks to John Povah for letting us come ride. A bit to street for my style but dialed in a few lines and had a good time. The ledges on the right just beyond Ryan's bike have stairs going down between them and a removable small wedge ramp. Fun up and down lines. Good quarter (even with the pool coping) on bottom left. Fun wall rides, manual pads and a mini against the far back wall. Notice Ryan's arm, hat and his bike. Flopped a ways trying not to hit his elbow after bailing on an up smith to 180 out. Funny pic captured while trying to get an overview of the park.

DVS

Fun session tonight at the DVS warehouse park. Shad, B-dubs, Jamie,
Ryan Fudger, and myself met Ryans roommate Francis Delapena (scope the
new Ride for a couple bangers from Francis) at the park. They let us
stay after everyone left and lock up when we left. Dialed. Jessie
Whaley and Eddie Cleveland showed up to shred with us after a bit for
a super fun session. Good times.
